Tejas Tonic is Texas’ premier brand of homegrown, all-natural hemp beverages and gummies. Born in Dripping Springs, Tejas Tonic’s products are cultivated and harvested with passion and integrity from seed to can. As Creative Director for Tejas Tonic, I own brand expression across every touchpoint, including packaging design, product launch campaigns, social content, DTC and B2B email marketing, OOH and sales materials.

Wellness CollectionCultivated from the Tejas Hemp farm, Tejas Tonic’s Farm & Provisions line is designed for true rest and recovery. The collection is designed to fit seamlessly into the Tejas Tonic core product line of tonics and gummies. I created everything needed to bring the collection to life: packaging system, 3D mockups, social and email marketing, and even photography. I personally love every single one of these products, and use them regularly to unwind :)
Product Launch: Tejas Tonic x Cowboy Pools’ Orange Sunshine
Can and Carton DesignBeloved Austin brands Tejas Tonic and Cowboy Pools came together in true Tejas (meaning “friendly”) fashion to create a Limited Edition beverage perfect for summertime, relaxation, and unwinding by a body of water. Both brands value the practices of "gettin' easy", so the spirit of this new low-dose THC and CBD drink is to help you do just that.
︎ Behind the Design
The name "Orange Sunshine" is both a nod to the psychedelic era of the 60s, and the (often oppressive) heat of a Texas Summer. The can and carton design for this product collaboration aimed to find a harmonious blend between the two brands different looks. The team envisioned a "sun-focused" design that felt "Dali-esque". I illustrated an orange slice sun burst dripping into a body of water. To keep things drippy and groovy, shapes are organic with no harsh lines. The "beauty copy" also follows the wavy, free-flowing look established on the front of the can. On the carton, I illustrated our "orange sun" splashing into a Cowboy Pool. The carton in particular, is more of a celebration of the partnership.
Teaser and Launch Assets
To celebrate the product launch, Tejas Tonic and Cowboy Pools threw a party at a local Austin bar. To drum up anticipation, the launch was also teased online through social media, paid media, PR, and on the website. Using the look I created for the packaging, I created all digital and print graphics to launch and promote the new product.
